j.crew held their first-ever presentation during new york fashion week, and with beyonce and solange knowles making an appearance, it would seem that the brand has hit its apex of popularity. what was a bit unexpected was the brand continuing the themes that have in the past (neon, colorblocking, styling reminiscent of creative director jenna lyons) and not exploring too many new paths. but when you break down the looks into individual pieces, there is alot to covet (like the sequin “chanel” jacket, the green & blue floral ankle pant, the silk celine-esque print popover) and tons of great accessories that the brand has built its reputation on.
