i love alber elbaz. he seems to have such fun with fashion (isn’t it supposed to be?) and truly loves dressing women of all shapes and sizes…and ages. the spring show, a celebration of lanvin’s 125th anniversary, was all about celebrating the young (edie campbell, jamie bochert) and tried-and-true (amber valletta, natasa vojnovic, kirsten owen) muses, the ones that wear matte jersey maxis, cigarette pants, a white vest suit (with nothing on underneath), boldly colored silk cocktail dresses, patchwork lace and brocades with aplomb. these girls in the know know that when you want to feel french and truly beautiful, you turn to elbaz and lanvin.
