carolina herrera showed a feminine yet modern collection with a lot of frills, sequins and ruffles. instead of girly pastels, herrera used bold shades like cadet blue, fire engine red, and canary yellow mixed in with black and white. the looks included capri pants worn with cropped collarless jackets, sleeveless day dresses with chiffon overlays and floral prints underneath, ruffled tuxedo blouses, and shapely tonal tapestry pencil skirts and palazzo pants.
for evening, the glam factor was definitely turned up…gowns had beaded straps, deep v-necks, cascading ruffle fronts, sequin bustier tops and fishtail hems, while cocktail dresses came with empire waists, covered in sequins, or with off the shoulder necklines.
