the revolving door continues to turn.

Uncategorized

lars nilsson, formerly of bill blass, lately of nina ricci, has stepped down from his latter position, wwd reports.

nilsson said it was “a great experience,” but has decided to pursue other things, hinting that he may have something in the works in the states. in the meantime, nina ricci’s in-house staff with continue designing and will present the 2007 s/s collection to press/buyers and not stage a runway show.

although i wasn’t a huge fan of nilsson for nina ricci, his gowns were a hit on the red carpet set…i really loved what he did for bill blass. hopefully he’ll find something or design his own line.

an interesting side note to this is that nina ricci’s parent company, puig, had recently hired christophe hebre as general manager from rochas, and that puig president mario grauso was in the front row of the a/w rochas show. could olivier theyskens be headed there as well?
