olga sherer and kim noorda look ethereal and romantic in the f/w ads for bottega veneta. i love the colors, the slightly cloudy effect and the belle du jour hair. bigger version of full ad below.

for a change, the oscars were not a sea of sameness, as many of the woman made great choices and the list of worst-dressed is much shorter than usual. blue and purple was a big trend, as quite a few women showed up to the oscars and afterparties in the hue.
my pic for best dressed of the night is reese witherspoon, stunning in olivier theyskens for nina ricci. the purple strapless gown had micropleated tiers and gradiated in color from a deep plum to a lovely lilac. the only accessories needed were a gorgeous diamond bracelet and earrings. bravo reese!
another winner was emily blunt in a shimmery navy calvin klein gown. again, she let the gown stand out its own and didn’t clutter it with extras. like reese, she chose a gorgeous diamond bracelet and simple drop earrings.
some of my not so-best dressed included penelope cruz (just too much dress), beyonce (one of her better choices, but still not there…the elie saab she wore when performing was much nicer) and elisabeth shue (too casual)
