the one thing: taylor stitch at banana republic.

personal shopper the one thing Uncategorized

this past thursday, banana republic flagship stores across the country hosted an after 5 event in honor of the summer collection. at the san francisco store, customers not only got to see the new pieces for men and women, but their first look at a collaboration with san francisco’s own taylor stitch. the company, started by barrett purdum, michael maher (who met in college outside boston) and michael armenta, spent a year at their retail/meeting place the common and now have a store on valencia selling their custom shirts, denim, and accessories.

the BR collection includes ready-to-wear shirts, in an americana palette of red, white, and blue, plus a bespoke option. for the custom shirts, sales associates will take a number of measurements, and options include six collar and cuff options, two different pocket options, monogramming, and more, and the choice of over 200 fabrics (including solids, plaids, and interesting tone on tones). prices go from $150 to $250 for the custom shirts, and $125 for RTW shirts. it’s a great option for guys that want something unique or as a gift for the guy that’s hard to shop for (shirts take 5 weeks, so order now in time for father’s day). i defintely plan on treating my guy to one.
