misha nonoo is a new-to-me designer but i adored her spring collection for a similar reason that i loved wes gordon’s—it felt fresh. raised by a british mother and iraqi father, she brings an interesting perspective on dressing that comes from living and experiencing different cultures, including working with artists. while the printed pieces (using images of friend dustin yellin’s sculptures) were beautiful, it was in the monochromatic looks that she excelled. duster coats, coordinated short sets, flowy crops and wide leg pants, and flirty cocktail dresses in white, navy, bronze, and fuschia were just gorgeous.
check out some behind the scenes from interview magazine and stay tuned for her shoe collaboration as part of aldo’s rise line.
