i never went to summer camp as a kid. i was in the girl scouts and from what i’ve heard, the camping experiences are completely different. first off, girl scouts is only girls. bruce weber, who used to shot the abercrombie & fitch quarterly, shot boys and girls down in miami for a cool kids edition of camp for july’s w magazine. daria, kate moss and lara stone grace the cover, with sasha pivovarova, kate & laura mulleavy from rodarte, christophe decarnin of balmain, georgina chapman (marchesa), alexander wang, and others joining in for a “what did you do this summer?” editorial. there is checking out vintage hats, lounging by the pool, and flying balloons. oh, and kate’s dad and sister show up.
i’m not a fan of lara stone or her boobs…at times they dominate the shoot. good thing daria and kate are around to show her how it’s done, and i love sasha’s kookiness. and of course, lots of shirtless boys. my summer camp was never like this.
