jennifer lopez has not released an album this year, she hasn’t been in any blockbuster movies, and she didn’t stage a huge fashion show at fashion week. so why is she on the cover of harpers bazaar for the second time in a year? beats me. it’s not to say she’s pregnant (“100% false, she says in the interview). it’s possible she’s promoting her movie with hubby marc anthony “el cantante,” which i’m personally sick of hearing of (is it out yet?) for someone who doesn’t do a heck of alot during the year, she’s managed to get a ton of press (she was on the first issue of vogue living). i will say this about the cover, she looks great and definitely more “real.”
the issue also marks bazaar’s best dressed list, which i have a feeling will be a roundup of covergirls past: lindsay lohan (huh?), mischa barton (boring), kate bosworth (ugh), nicole richie (rachel zoe clone), nicole kidman (yawn), and the required socialites.
in other cover news, beyonce looks like a barbie doll inside a box on the cover of elle, and nicole kidman will grace us vogue. i’ll have more on the vogue later on…
