the tory burch store in san francisco has finally opened, and the look is exactly what you’d expect from the queen of affordable palm beach meets main line cool. the outside of the store is all gleaming gold and glass, with exposed beams in the windows, and mannequins sporting knit sailor skirts, shift dresses, and printed tunics.
inside you can see the david hicks inspiration, with bright green carpet, plexiglas orange boxes with folded sweaters and tees, and clothing and accessories inset in the walls which are painted orange and pink. the mirrored walls create almost a fun house effect–jarring but playful. the fall collection was inspired by andy warhol, fabric textures, and rock icons joni mitchell and the beatles. some standouts include the aberly dress (pictured above) in a purple beetle print, the evelynne dress in gold jacquard with an inset waist, the chloé-inspired lucille bootie in black patent or chocolate suede with patent trim, and the mustard leather and suede fringe tote. also check out burch’s expanded jewelry collection featuring bold enamel cuffs and agate necklaces.
