each season, francisco costa moves between the hard and the soft at calvin klein, and for pre-fall, the looks were more on the harder end of the scale. the collection, which was mainly black and white with a few bit of emerald green, was punctuated by blocks of texture like pleating, velvet, leather, and silk. it was also mostly separates: high waist tapered leg pants, military jackets, and skinny pencil skirts blended with platform pumps and strapped in ankle booties. if this is what fall will bring, then costa is in a very good place.
