have you ever looked at a collection and not been blown away by the clothing, but loved the shoes, or the bags, or the jewelry, or all the extras? that’s what i felt when i watched the livestream of the proenza schouler show a few weeks ago. it reminded me a bit of their spring 2013 collection with the colorblocking and textural mix, but something about it just didn’t connect with me as much as that one (although i did love the exploded argyle pieces and the fringed dresses and skirts at the end). but then i looked on style.com of some of the detail shots and my oh my the shoes and the bags! i couldn’t get enough of the fringed mules, sandals with silver metal ankle straps, windowpane check crossbodies, and the new “u” bag, which has a seventies feel. some of the accessories are available for pre-order on moda operandi now, but you can bet that some of these will be on my wishlist come spring.
