it used to be the wedge was reserved warmer weather, with woven or canvas uppers and cork bottoms. now ysl has put a new spin on this classic, doing it with a blonde wood wedge and using materials like suede, leather, and satin. if the crazy heel height (and price) are making you turn and run, don’t fret, gap has a great option for under $100.
and yes, i’ve been on a ysl kick recently, but i can’t help it…they make fabulous shoes!
