i have a healthy obsession with the eighties. i graduated from high school late in the decade, and it’s also when i started my love of fashion. from versace prints (being brought back in the h&m collection) to tartan plaids, leggings, and oversized sweatshirts (many of which are back in style now). i frequented shops like contempo casuals, the limited, and esprit. esprit was always one of my favorites…i loved the graphic intarsia sweaters that i wore with pegged jeans and penny loafers. marc jacobs’ marc by marc line is one that references the eighties, and this fall is no different. the “quad” sweater is something you could imagine on amanda jones or claire standish, with its diagonal sequins and slightly cropped silhouette.
