a breath of fresh air.

finally, an unexpected cover choice on vogue! winona ryder is back, promoting the ten (with jessica alba and paul rudd) and the last word (with wes bentley and ray romano). the background looks a bit strange, but winona looks absolutely radiant in f/w marc jacobs (the same dress she wore to the costume institute gala). this girl looks great for 35, and i’m glad that she’s got herself back on track.

inside, look for eds with two california blondes, amber valletta and angela lindvall, and one british one, lily donaldson.

last week my friends candace, christina and i attending the grand opening party for the elizabeth charles boutique in san francisco. owner charles, a native of melbourne, stocks her store with designers from australia and new zealand, and this is her first west coast destination.

i spied some lovely dresses by mala brajkovic, a great gold tweedy coat by deborah sweeney, and cool canvas and yellow leather bags by laurie foon. the store is very lofty, with pale green walls, black accents, long racks of clothes on each wall, and a very cool desk where the sales staff will ring you up.

the best thing about elizabeth charles (besides elizabeth, who is incredibly sweet) is that you’ll be wearing something you haven’t seen all over the place. check it out in san francisco and new york.
