s/s 06 menswear collections started sunday…so far i love prada, where miuccia cut slim trousers and pants paired with close-fit shirts and semisheer sweaters and laceless trainers. she also added a bit of whimsy with star and heart print shirts. the colors were equally nice…taupe and stone mixed with white, muted pink, baby blue and rose, plus indigo and steel gray.
another winner was burberry prorsum. christopher bailey used the basic trench without any frills, draped over slim suits (a definite trend for s/s) or topping creased denims. the collection was loosely based on interior designer david hicks and the prints and patterns were mixed with each other in a (seemingly) random way, creating a cool, 70s vibe.
