f/w 2011 new york: rachel roy.

#NYFW collections Uncategorized

rachel roy’s presentation yesterday was an ode to the working woman and that’s something that roy knows a lot about. she’s busy raising two young girls while presiding over a constantly growing fashion empire. each ensemble incorporated layering and pieces that could easily be transformed from day into night, work week into weekend. leopard print dresses were topped with chunky knit cardigans, a fringed charcoal poncho was layered on top of a cobalt turtleneck and striped harem pants, a striped wrap shirtdress could be worn alone or with a long sleeve striped tee underneath. as has been the norm this season, skirts hovered around the knee or longer, and the easy a-line shape is wearable and flattering for most. for the woman looking for versatility while being chic and modern, look no further than roy’s fall collection.
