michael bastian’s american/euro prep mix was in full force yesterday at the gant presentation. everything was based on aprés ski chic, and had sort of a j.crew meets brooks brothers vibe to it. the guys paired cargo pants, denim shirts, khaki ponchos, and fair isle sweaters with knee high duck boots and patterned flap hats and matching gloves. for the ladies, plannel flannel shirts and turtlenecks, camo minis, sherling bombers, and shrunken blazers with rugby stripe scarves, cabled tights, and flat lace up boots. all in all, it was a fun presentation even if the clothing wasn’t groundbreaking.
