oh marc, how i love you. you went from gorgeous surrealism with exposed legs and underwear on the outside to puritanism, complete with headgear. it was all very buttoned up and sleek, but interesting. not alot of color, not alot of accessories. i’m not so crazy about the baggy crotch pants, but everything else, especially the dresses were insanely wearable.
i loved the flannel wool cowl neck dresses, popcorn knit sweaters, high collar coats, pencil skirts cut on the bias, metallic leathers, and “sweatshirt” tops. and for going out, there was velvet jumpsuits and drape front gowns, deep v-neck lamé tunics, and cropped sequin pants. even cooler: sonic youth performed live. i can’t wait to hear more about the show and its inspiration.
