my first introduction to j.crew was a rugby, specifically a purple and black one with a white twill collar that i ordered through the catalog. back in those days, i was working at the gap and pretty much obsessed with most of the men’s department, including the wide striped sweaters that i would pair with pegged denim or a stretch mini (i’m probably dating myself here). i’m digging j. crew’s new take on the bold stripe, in feminine silhouettes (love the twinset!) and punchier colors. but don’t worry, there won’t be a pegged jean in sight.
