san francisco is always a bit late to the retail game. it took forever for us to get a zara, h&m or barneys. new york will be getting a topshop come october (i’ll have to settle for ordering online), and by then, you’ll be able to get some of the pieces shown today at the fall runway presentation. the collection had alot of the tough-meets-tender pieces already seen in new york (and that will be big come fall), including slim leather suits and leggings, floaty floral minidresses, classic black trousers, oversized wool coats and jackets, long a-line skirts, tweed pullovers and nude lace dresses. i wasn’t fond of the blanket print ponchos or the pale denim stovepipes (a bit too summery) but overall, it was a solid collection of on trend pieces that will be available at reasonable prices.
