joe zee is one of my favorite art directors/stylists and he has worked at two of my top magazines: w and vitals. he was recently named creative director at us elle, which has posted big numbers in terms of circulation and advertising, but seems to be lagging behind vogue and bazaar in terms of design and models.
while zee’s first issue doesn’t bow until september, he’s already adding key members to his team. one of those is paul ritter, the then art-director at vitals who was named design director at elle today. he will be responsible for the graphic design and visuals. ritter was recently in charge of the recent redesign at jane. zee and ritter are an amazing team, and i can’t wait to see what they dream up for elle.
