fall/winter 2015 milan: tod’s.

you don’t normally think of tod’s as a ready-to-wear brand, but alessandra facchinetti is working to change all that. obviously she has a great pedigree—working under tom ford at gucci, and then at valentino—and now she’s adding a modern yet feminine take on luxury for the leathergoods house. big in spring, suede is still going strong, showing up here in ankle trousers, leather patched shirts, shift dress, and yes, loafers. and while she did gorgeous pieces in leather (i’ll take that nude trench and the white midi skirt above), it was the other ones, like intarsia sweaters, down jackets with whipstitch trim, and printed pantsuits that really had me.
