my preferred jewelry has long been statement earrings—i think they are so chic with short hair and have a way of add that je ne sais quoi to the most basic of outfits. over the last few years we’ve seen variations on that trend from colorful jewels and plastic flowers at prada to just one earring seen at céline and vuitton, and oversized rhinestones at balenciaga. now the organic earring in gold, silver, or mixed metals is where it’s at. i picked up a pair from madewell a few weeks ago, but i’m really wanting a pair from annie costello brown or from the new proenza collection. the good news is you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg, with choices from brands like mango to oscar de la renta, and the different shapes mean they aren’t super noticable where you got them. check out my picks below for some options, including a pair from the nordstrom anniversary sale.
