the new look: wear the pants.

something in my closet that is indispensable but somehow doesn’t get worn very often is my pair of black cuffed trousers. there’s nothing wrong with them—on the contrary, the fit is amazing, and i love the wide, cuffed leg. when i’m getting dressed in the morning or for a night out, i’ll typically grab a pair of jeans, a dress, or a skirt before these pants (or really any pair of pants). but when i do decide i want to wear pants, i’m so glad i have these and i remember what i love about them.

it’s always good to have a great fitting pair of black pants in your arsenal, one that looks equally good with a jean jacket, t-shirt, and sandals and a fitted knit or silk shirt and pumps. these are an older pair from banana republic, but i also love ones from hugo boss, theory, and nordstrom’s halogen and classiques entier. hopefully this post will be a reminder to you (and me) to wear the pants more often…
