the new look: sporty lace.

the new look Uncategorized

as i’ve gotten older, i’ve become more comfortable with my body, but that doesn’t mean that i don’t need a bit of shaping now and then. earlier this year, i heard of lyssé (li-say), a line that incorporates 3s™ technology that slims, smooths, and shapes in all its clothing. beth gold-cohen started the line in 2009; after searching to find leggings that didn’t create a muffin top, she sewed her own pair by adding shapewear to the top.  now lyssé is not just leggings, but skirts, tops, and wraps that come in cotton and ponte, vegan leather and suede, and lace. even better, lyssé’s pieces are all under $100 and come in sizes xs-3x. i really love lace pencil skirts, and since i have a solid black version, i choose this white and black version. the high waist is flattering for wearing tucked-in blouses, and i love that the waist stays flat. i’m all for clothes that do double duty, especially when they are as chic as this.

lyssé (facebook / twitter), also available at nordstrom, macy’s, anthropologie, zappos and others (see site for full list of retailers)

j. crew sweatshirt (similar) and necklace, lyssé skirt c/o, prada pumps, 3.1 phillip lim clutch (here in black and navy), linda farrow x alexander wang sunglasses, jewelmint, céline, eddie borgo, hermés bracelets
