the new look: 80s party.

back when i was shopping for a dress for my blog birthday party, i had my eye on a few dresses, but when i saw this dress at barneys, i knew it was the one. nevermind that i had never bought anything from isabel marant (except my blazer from the h&m collaboration) and was unsure of sizing. as usual, barneys customer service was top-notch, and helped me order the right size and got it to me in time for the festivities. as an 80s teen, i am in love with what i call the “john hughes-ness” of this dress—the raspberry color, the moiré fabric, and that ruffle. it’s very andy sachs at cats on a friday night…
