she’s baaaaaaack.

the other good thing about the month of february (besides fashion week and valentine’s day) are the march mags, which are the second biggest of the year. alot of big name stars have movies to promote this spring, but that didn’t stop bazaar from putting lindsay lohan on their cover. what does lohan have to promote you say? it can’t be her fashion sense (all she’s been wearing is leggings and uggs). it’s her sobriety, silly. so you’re not a fan of lohan? don’t worry, this issue is jam-packed with goodies for all fashion fans.

first up, remember the brouhaha over the marc jacobs show in september? was marc drinking in the merc bar while anna, et. al were waiting for the show to start? not according to marc (the clothes were still being worked on, he said), who pokes fun of himself in an ed starring helena christensen, socialiate/jewelry designer genevieve jones, and kim gordon among others shot by peter lindbergh where they recreate the night.

another inventive ed features eva herzigova recreating “the sound of music,” albeit as a prada-fendi-ralph lauren wearing nun. she captures julie andrews perfectly, and the clothes don’t look bad either. i would have never guessed it was shot by terry richardson.

vogue favorite caroline trentini never looked so good as in “the new shapes,” (by camilla akrans) except when wearing swimwear. and my lovely freja is in an amazing ed shot by solve sundsbo. it doesn’t capture some of the clothing very well, but artistically, it’s great. also inside is lily donaldson in a haystack (“what’s next”) by glen luchford, denisa dvorakova (“fresh florals”) by nathaniel goldberg, coco rocha (“what’s chic now”) by greg kadel–with her mouth closed!, plus an interesting accessories ed by rubel toledo, an interview & ed with frances bean cobain, AND a fashionable life features socialite and sometime-handbag designer tinsley mortimer. oh, and did i mention lilo accompanied by superheroes while doing daily chores like going food shopping and doing laundry. at a whopping 512 pages, this issue perfect reading while you’re doing your laundry, or just working on your spring shopping list.
