it was reported in today’s wwd that marc jacobs (left, with terry richardson) has checked himself into a rehab facility in arizona. robert duffy, jacobs’ business partner said:
“marc made the right decision…he’d been sober for seven years. when he relapsed, he wanted to deal with it right away.”
my thoughts and prayers are with him…

in other news, the weinstein company (headed by producer harvey weinstein) announced that it had bought halston and had tapped tamara mellon, founder and ceo of jimmy choo to be creative director. the line, which is currently sold at bergdorf goodman and jeffrey, is currently being designed by chaiken’s jeff mahshie. weinstein’s girlfriend georgina chapman is half of the designing duo marchesa. with the right designer, halston could be huge (think the american version of balenciaga), but mellon is not the woman to do it…
finally, sarah jessica parker has finally bitten, and started a fashion line called…bitten. the line is slated to be shown to at two luncheons tomorrow at indochine for editors. no details yet as to price, manufacturer or designer…
