a new year is all about the “new” — new goals, a fresh new calendar, a blank journal. i don’t get a new bag every year, but it is something that signals new beginnings and getting organized. with new york fashion week coming up next month (!), i’ve been looking for something that is not only stylish but can hold my essentials: laptop (or hopefully an ipad), camera, notebook, flats. the newest addition to the proenza schouler bag family, the ps10, is the perfect, everyday tote. yes it’s a looker…the mix of textures elevates it from your standard leather bag, but it’s the details that win me over. it’s 15 inches tall, so it will hold a laptop with ease. it can be carried with the top handles or the adjustable shoulder strap. the flat shape is easy to wear (you won’t bump into the things navigating your commute) and it even has a removable leather key ring.
