i tried on these proenza schouler boots (from fall 2009) back when they first came out at barneys sf, and i passed on them. then of course, i couldn’t find them anywhere. fast forward three years when i managed to track a pair down…i had to pull the trigger. they were quite the conversation starter in the office, and made me a good five inches taller (and gave me an extra boost of confidence–perfect for two major meetings).
