proenza schouler’s jack and lazaro keep the slouchy theme of their f/w collection going into resort…unfortunately i don’t think these pants look good on anyone.
alessandra facchinetti also kept going down a similar path at valentino, with elegant, sophisticated-if not slightly safe-clothes in pale hues of grey, lemon, and ice blue mixed with fuschia, black and of course, red. my favorite pieces were the ruffled hem skirts, beaded gowns and a grey patent slicker. she can obviously design…she just needs to break out of her comfort zone and really bring the house into the 21st century.
