at first, i thought it was miss j aka j. alexander sharing the vogue paris cover with carolyn murphy. i mean, when else have you seen a man wearing a dress and heels? come to find out the cover boy is andre j., of pat field’s namesake nyc boutique. he’s part stylist, part party host, and all around fashion icon. the entire issue was shot by bruce weber (of a&f quarterly fame), and the contents include an ed with duane “dog” chapman (the bounty hunter) and daria, another with coco rocha and caroline trentini (styled by carine herself, as is the main ed), and beauty ed with malgosia bela.
so is this how we get more minorities on fashion magazine covers? (i’m half joking…)
