f/w 08.09 nyc: the gap.

Uncategorized

the patrick robinson era is finally ready to begin at the gap, as the retailer showed off their fall collection today. the styling and presentation was very reminiscent of robinson’s at perry ellis, but that’s where the similarities ended. the pieces, although heavily styled, revealed some excellent outerwear (puffy flannel jackets and vest, double breasted boyfriend blazers, shearling vests, and cropped leather peacoats), cool slouchy trousers, sweaterdresses and flannel shirts. the muted color palette of soft lilac, grey, cream, chestnut, and dusty blue was flattering to all, and i’ll be coveting the accessories (including shoes designed by pierre hardy) come fall.
