in an interview with wwd, marc jacobs said his s/s ad campaign for louis vuitton is among his most favorite ever. he said of stars angela lindvall, stephanie seymour, naomi campbell, eva herzigova, and natalia vodianova: “…as soon as they were on the set, you understood why these models became what they did. They have tons of charisma, personality and that star quality.”
well honestly, as excited i was about this campaign, after seeing it, i feel let down. richard prince’s work is so colorful and bright and this is basically girls (women) laying on cars. naomi’s shot is the best imo; i like her position on the car, and the colors really pop against her skin. natalia’s isn’t bad, but stephanie seymour’s pic is borderline pornographic, and eva’s pic reminds me of her last vuitton campaign.
