the new look: continuing the story.

the new look

back in college, i was dating a guy who had the best t-shirts. they were perfect for borrowing (ok, stealing), wearing to track practices, throwing on for early morning classes, or lounging around on a sunday. this shirt reminds me of those amazing shirts. i found it at a vintage store in manhattan back in the nineties in my prep phase. i loved that this one wasn’t white (it’s stone) and the oxford material was unbelievably soft—like i had it forever, when it reality someone else had it (and loved it) and then dontated it so someone else could love it. the idea of vintage or consigned clothing is very appealing to me, because you are continuing the story of a garment—who had it before me, where did they wear it, what memories did they create in it. i’ve worn this too many places to name, and i love the idea of continuing to wear it (and this skirt, also found at a consignment shop) years from now.

vintage men’s oxford shirt (similar here), narciso rodriguez skirt, alexander wang sandals, balenciaga bag, super sunglasses, amk x stylemint choker
