while a black blazer is considered a staple in any women’s wardrobe, i wear my white blazer way more. i actually have two that fit any occasion: a slightly cropped elizabeth and james one with black piping and this one, which is a bit longer. there are a number of options available in store or online, but you can also go the vintage route. make sure you check the fabric for pulls or tears, and the collar & sleeve edges for dirt or signs of wear. if you do find a great vintage blazer, simple tailoring can really make it your own: the sleeves were too long on this one, so i shortened them to three quarter length. you can also swap out buttons, change the lining, or add a contrast color under the collar for a low price that will make your blazer one of a kind—and one you’ll reach for again and again.
