finding a look for an evening wedding is usually easy for me; i go with a cocktail dress that’s perfect for dancing and obviously doesn’t upstage the bride. well in this case, the wedding was in napa at a private house, and was starting in the late afternoon. after spending an afternoon scouring my closet to piece together a look, i realized a printed maxi would be perfect, and alas, i did not own one. so another search ensued, this time to find a maxi that was dressy but not too formal, and also not too long—a seemingly tall order. nordstrom.com not only had an impressive selection of dresses and the ability to narrow your search via a variety of criteria, but utilitzed true fit technology, which ensures you order the right size based on your measurements. when i saw this dress, i loved the colorful rorschach print, beaded neckline, and side slit. with a few pieces i already had, the look really came together and i felt stylish and comfortable.
and the bride? she wore isabel marant…and looked absolutely gorgeous.
*this isn’t a sponsored post; i just really like the nordstrom online shopping experience.
