showin’ them who’s boss.

Uncategorized

remember when everyone was saying her career was over? what a joke that was! the ever-popular kate moss shows up on the april covers of w and vogue paris, looking as fabulous as ever.

i was slightly disappointed in w, putting miss moss on the cover, but not giving her an editorial inside! instead we do get karen elson in a 40 page ed shot by bruce weber in new orleans (good, but close in theme to kate’s recent ed from w also by weber), and “bag lady,” by paolo roversi with his colorful and ethereal images.

kate on vogue paris is a feast for the eyes. shot by my faves inez and vinoodh in a biker-meets-boho ed (styled by emmaunelle alt) that totally captures the essence of kate. she wears leather vests, cutoff denim shorts, balmain’s tie-dyed bell bottoms, slinky camis, and biker boots.

in addition to kate’s biker meets boho ed, there’s guinevere van seenus in “magie de la nature” (nature magic) by mikael jansson, styled by marie-amélie sauvé. she looks gorgeous in a woodsy setting (like kate), but in a more surrealist way. she wears mostly florals, including those from dolce & gabbana, balenciaga, dries van noten, and miu miu. the blue black hair with blunt bangs and bright makeup nicely juxtapose guinevere’s milky skin.

sasha pivovarova kicks it with designer/photographer hedi slimane in a black and white masculine-tinged ed. sasha is becoming one of my favorite models…love her versatility here.

also inside is eds with angela lindvall, luca gadjus, daria (also shot by inez & vinoodh), plus an article with kate and laura mulleavy from rodarte. so if you’re a kate fan, i’d say definitely pick up vogue paris, which should be hitting u.s. newsstands soon.
