renegade profile: sourdough

collections currently coveting

one of the old friends i was happy to see at the renegade craft fair was sourdough, the line of clothing and accessories made by annie wilson of poetic and chic. annie, a san francisco native, uses vintage barkcloth and repurposes it into cute jackets, dishtowels, belts, pillows and eyemasks. you can even check out her site and see her new fabrics and custom create you own piece. annie looked craft-fair ready in an edie jacket, and i loved checking out her entire collection.

jackets come in three styles, the balloon sleeve edie, the short sleeve eileen and the long sleeve mod-ish nini (named for the aunt who encouraged annie’s love of sewing). she also debuted a line of sash belts, crafted with bakelite buckles.

being that i love anything monogrammed, i have the ampersand monogram dishtowel, which is so gorgeous, i don’t want to use it! i just told annie the colors i wanted and she picked a great vintage fabric. the dishtowels also come in single, double and triple letters which are all embroidered on a 100% cotton flour sack. i also got a sleepytime mask in a neutral geometric pattern, perfect for my boy. with a black silk charmeuse back and filled with lavender and makes an elegant companion on any long flight.

you can purchase sourdough products from the etsy shop, or stop by the sourdough booth at the renegade craft fair tomorrow where you can find annie, probably looking smashing in sourdough!
