sometimes when you write a blog, unless you get comments, you wonder “is anyone out there?” especially during collection time…you’re spending so much time digesting the looks, reading newspaper reviews and posts on other blogs, not to mention forming an opinion and then writing. so it’s always nice when you find that people not only read the blog, but your peers have good things to say about it. after getting up this morning and checking out the usual suspects (wwd, nytimes, nymag, etc) when i see a post on coutorture, the fabulous fashion and beauty network i am a part of. not only did i get post of the day, but they called out my coverage of the lanvin, ysl, vuitton, and valentino shows:
J’adore Couture also picked favorite shows for review. From Spring 09 it was Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Valentino, and YSL to start. Our favorite aspect of J’adore Couture’s coverage is how the runway shots get pitted together in groups of three. It’s funny what a little rearranging can do to a collection. In this format, trends and aesthetics emerge quite nicely.
