summer just started, but many designers have shot, or are starting to shoot their f/w 06 campaigns, and not surprisingly, some of the big names are going with big-time models. vuitton, after a brief flirtation with lindsay lohan, has decided to go with an all-model affair, with daria werbowy, kate moss, naomi campbell, stella tennant, malgosia, and christina kruse being joined by newcomer du juan. the ads are scheduled to be shot by mert and marcus, who shot gisele for the s/s campaign.
speaking of malgosia, the comeback girl has reportedly nabbed eight campaigns, including marc by marc jacobs where she will wear clothes from the mens and womens collections, donna karan, chloe (with carmen kass), and lanvin. kate and stella will be together again in the burberry campaign, and kate is also back doing dior (which stella did last season) and calvin klein jeans. stella is also joining liya kebede and maria carla on givenchy. a few companies are sticking with their s/s girls, including calvin klein collection (natalia), fendi (angela lindvall), prada (sasha p.), and chanel (daria). ralph lauren is adding solange and natasha poly to his usuals valentina and fillipa, and gucci adds snejana and caroline trentini to s/s girl iselin steiro.
what’s absent from the list is celebs, a nice change from s/s…although marc jacobs is using jennifer jason leigh for his collection…
