christopher decarnin’s collection for balmain was a continuation of the themes he started last spring: short, short, and short. even in fall, decarnin’s dresses were still mini length, and were paired with chunky ankle boots and came in different incarnations such as tiered fringe, metallic knit, long sleeve brocade, draped chiffon, and strapless with a feathered hem.
in an interesting twist, instead of skinny pants, decarnin showed ones tight at the hips then flared out at the knee. a nice change, but will women give up the skinny silhouette in favor of the flare?
