f/w 07.08 paris: louis vuitton.

collections Uncategorized

a friend and i were coming back from the mall, and we were discussing what we would buy if we won the california mega lottery, which right now is at $340 million. i would definitely be dropping lots of money on fall/winter vuitton.

marc jacobs showed a thoroughly grown up and parisian collection which was reminiscient of his main line, but with more polish. looks included belted mohair sweaters over metallic skirts, flyaway cardigans worn with bright round collar shirts, long furry tunics, velvet tie shrugs, knotted wool scarves used as trims on tunics and sweaters, cropped leather peacoat blazers, and sequin trim fuller skirts.

the color story went from rich metallics (bronze, steel blue, olive) to black/navy/charcoal to ombre reds, greens, mustard and teal. the end section of ombre dresses and gowns with draped bodices and feather hems were gorgeous.

the accessories included croc booties, chunky t-straps, floppy hats and berets, and bags in satin with jet beaded monogram, with sherpa trim, or quilted monogram.
