you usually think of rich burgundies and forest greens for fall, but not tibi’s amy smilovic, who was feeling a punchy palette of red, bright baby and cobalt blue, along with white, grey and black. this show always has an amazing energy, and even standing in the back, it was evident yet again. the collection highlighted textured wool and bouclé outerwear (always a tibi staple), worn-in denim, culottes, and tie front dresses. always one to put out a covetable shoe (see this fall’s piper bootie and spring’s jeweled britt mule), the collection included a fuzzy mule, lace up oxfords, and knee-high flat moto boots.
