model street style doesn’t usually inspire me much. it’s either too quirky or too dark or too “done,” but there is something about jersey’s jacquelyn jablonski that feels authentic and fresh. jablonski (no relation to france’s constance) was a finalist in ford’s supermodel of the year contest in 2008 and quickly took the modeling world by storn a year later, appearing on the runways of ysl, lanvin, balenciaga, gucci and thakoon. at the spring 2011 collections, she walked in 60 shows, 34 in paris & milan alone. through all of her show and editorial travels, she’s developed a great sense of style that highlights designer finds (namely handbags) mixed with more iconic pieces like tailored trousers, a-line skirts, a classic coat – all of which look great with a sleek ponytail or up knot. she never looks old or that she’s trying too hard, just like a young girl discovering fashion and having fun (and looking great) doing so.
