phillip lim is one of my favorite designers right now. i already own quite a few pieces from his f/w 06-07 collection, and i preordered some things for s/s. it’s one of the shows i had been anticipating because i know from some inside sources that he was working on developing some moodier pieces for fall, and also beefing up on accessories.
he did not disappoint. the collection had trapeze dresses with chiffon hems and tie necklines, croppped motorcycle and double breasted schoolgirl jackets, ankle length loose trousers, taffeta striped skirts, belted shift dresses, draped minis and halter chiffon evening dresses.
he also showed some nice accessories: denim barrel bags with leather trim, expandable totes, patent leather pumps with suede ankle wraps, spectator pumps, and satin beaded headbands.
