in my mind, you can never have enough little black dresses. there are so many varieties out there for every occasion—and it’s something you can dress up or down depending on where you’re going. i’m always on the hunt for those that have interesting details, and this black ruffled dress from marissa webb checks off a lot of the boxes. the ruffles are pretty but not super cutesy and the drapey fabric let’s you feel comfortable (and eat to your heart’s desire). the cutout shoulder detail is probably my favorite part; since the rest of the dress is fairly covered, it adds a slight hint of sexiness. i paired it with red sandals (are you tired of these yet?), asymmetrical earrings, and a pop of color on the lips for a going out look or even something you could wear to a cocktail party or less formal wedding. i’m heading to the hamptons this weekend and this dress will definitely be coming with me.
