i moved into a new apartment last year, and did a major purge of clothing I didn’t wear, and it was great opportunity to realize where i had holes in my wardrobe. one of those places was in tops for a night out. this top from reformation gives me 40s-meets-80s vibes with the wrap silhouette and dramatic shoulder pads. back when i was in nyc a few weeks ago, i paired it with the new levi’s 501 skinnies (i cut the ankles rather than hemming), strappy sandals, and a colorful clutch in the vein of the new balenciaga bags for drinks in the west village with some friends. now that the end of season sales are underway, i’m grabbing a few more tops and some dresses—the other area i was lacking. have you hit the sales and get something good?
