i’ve talked before about when i get to be in the marketing vs. art directing the marketing, and this is another case of that, but for the brand i work for! neon is a huge trend right now, and our merchant team has chased into a capsule of hot pink items, including this hot pink maxi dress. the challenge with chase items is that the samples don’t get delivered in our usual photoshoot schedule, so we have to be nimble and flexible in figuring out how to capture it. in this case, we did a shoot in the office, art directed by our stylist and shot by another member of our team (who happens to be a very talented photographer!). i was really happy with the final images and the email they were featured in.
this high low hem dress was my favorite piece in the collection because it’s so versatile. i styled it with my vintage distressed denim jacket and a neutral heel with a twist, but i would also pair it with white sneakers or a pair of flat slides (i have an old pair from vince, but i also am into these).
banana republic factory dress, vintage denim jacket (similar), pedder red sandals (similar here, here, and here)
speaking of photoshoots, our first one for holiday (!) was this week, and it was crazy, hectic, but also a lot of fun. between the last fall shoot, july 4th, black friday in july, and prepping for this shoot & labor day, this girl is wiped out! looking forward to a little girls getaway this weekend to a warm destination…hope you all have a great weekend!
